Healthy Lifestyle Tips to Prevent Cancer

We already have a lot of knowledge about cancer prevention, and with early diagnosis, treatment and cancer care, we can work towards preventing thousands of deaths caused each year due to cancer. Every year, more than 8 million people die from cancer around the world. However, more than 1/3rd of most common types of cancers can be easily prevented with healthy lifestyle and behaviors.
The cancer center Las Vegas suggests the following living tips to prevent cancer:

Eat healthy and be physically active. 20 – 40% of all adolescents worldwide are now affected by obesity, and more than 2/3rd of American adults are obese or overweight. Its an issue because a strong link has been observed between being overweight/obese and an increase in risk of developing breast, bowel, uterine, pancreatic, gallbladder, kidney, ovarian, and esophageal cancer during later stages of life.

Avoid alcohol consumption. Drinking alcohol can lead to an increased risk of developing several types of cancer, including mouth, larynx, pharynx, bowel, liver, breast, and esophagus cancers. The experts in the field of oncology Las Vegas recommend that you limit the consumption of alcoholic beverages – for men, two alcoholic drinks per day, and for women, one alcoholic drinks per day.

Stop using tobacco. More than 1/5th of all deaths caused by cancer is due to tobacco use. There are a variety of resources, like counseling, and medications for those who want to terminate their use of tobacco. You should have a comprehensive plan to increase your chances of successfully quitting use of tobacco.
